What vision setting should I use?
There are 5 different Vision settings within the Feeder Information tab, which are used to check each component's position when it is picked up. Determine what setting works best with the descriptions below.
- No Action: This setting performs at the highest handling speed, but may reduce precision. Not recommended.
- Fly Calib: This takes a picture of the component as the placement head is moving and does not stop. Best for passive resistors and capacitors.
- IC Calib: The placement head will stop at one angle and take a single picture. Best for more complicated parts.
- Big IC Calib: This will take four individual pictures of the component and put them together. If the part is 35mm or larger, always use this method. Best for large components.
- IC Rotate Calib: This method orients the component to the specified placement angle before performing the placement. Best for special use.
