What vision setting should I use?

There are 5 different Vision settings within the Feeder Information tab, which are used to check each component's position when it is picked up. Determine what setting works best with the descriptions below.

  1. No Action: This setting performs at the highest handling speed, but may reduce precision. Not recommended.
  2. Fly Calib: This takes a picture of the component as the placement head is moving and does not stop. Best for passive resistors and capacitors.
  3. IC Calib: The placement head will stop at one angle and take a single picture. Best for more complicated parts.
  4. Big IC Calib: This will take four individual pictures of the component and put them together. If the part is 35mm or larger, always use this method. Best for large components.
  5. IC Rotate Calib: This method orients the component to the specified placement angle before performing the placement. Best for special use.
