Bulk Feeder Setup - YY1
This feed method allows the downward-looking camera to identify and pick loose components for placement. Perfect for those parts consumed when setting up your tape/reel feeders or during the initial programming of your board.
The bulk feed method of component delivery is still in beta testing, any feedback is welcomed. As a result, a small percentage of components may be positioned inaccurately, or their rotation may be off. Please ensure to inspect all components after placement
Pick Position
Any position on the working table can be used as a bulk feeder pick position, though it is recommended that the waffle tray strips preinstalled on the machine are used. If you choose to add a custom tray, please ensure that the material is a dark color. The image recognition works best when presented with a stark contrast between the pick area and components.
Loose components must not overlap or be tightly packed together. IC components are currently unable to be used with the bulk feed method.
Some Basic Rules:
- No more than ten components
- 0603 or larger
- Right side up
- Not touching
Camera Threshold Parameter
The camera threshold parameter can be adjusted to enable better recognition of components. Using the Pick Test button, the result of the adjustment can be observed. The maximum number of components able to be displayed onscreen at one time is 10 (displayed as members).
